Todd McPhee Crane Hire supplies its customers with a vast selection of transport solutions. 

We pioneered the use of 8 x 4 tractor units and steering quad axle trailers offering our customers increased load capacity and increased load dimensions under the Mass and Dimension Rule. 

All Todd McPhee Crane Hire transport operators have, or are working towards, a National Certificate in Heavy Haulage and in fact were the first crane and transport company to obtain this qualification.  All employees are either certified Class 1 or 2 Load Pilots and hold Bridge Engineering Self Supervision.  All our units hold NZTA and local area Overweight Permits.

Hiabs

Todd McPhee Crane Hire have a vast selection of truck loader cranes for every job big or small.  All operators hold, or are working towards, a National Certificate in Heavy Haulage.  All operators hold, or are working towards, a National Certificate in Crane Operation Truck Loader Crane (Level 3) as well as Class 2 Load Pilot.

• 10 x 4 forward mounted 15 ton Hiab with 18.7m of reach.  This unit can be configured with either a 5.5m twist-locked deck and 4 axle pull trailer or tow a 12m step deck in tractor unit mode.
• 8 x 4 rear mounted 25 tone Hiab with 21m of reach.  This unit can tow either our 2 or 4 axle trailers and has certified racks for those longer loads.
• 8 x 4 forward mounted 53 ton Hiab.  This unit is currently under construction and will be hitting the road soon with all the benefits of our 10 x 4 with a greater crane capacity.
